Can I hide an admin user on an iMac for an employee?

One of our employees wanted an iMac, and I was assigned to set up their account. I generated two accounts: a standard account for the user and an admin account. Is it possible to hide an administrator account? Are there any suggestions? I've already tried using the terminal commands sudo dscl . create /Users/hiddenuser IsHidden 1 and the account is still there after several attempts of restarting.

What you did should work.

Hide a user account in macOS - Apple Support

Though you may run into this: “If FileVault is enabled, a hidden user might still appear in the first login window when you turn on or restart your computer.”

if not, maybe boot through Safe Mode and check again:

Or switch from the list-of-users setting to the username and password field.

Or leave the account there, switch the associated image to the Eye of Sauron or some such, and as the user doesn’t have the password, any account access is a non-issue.
