How to lock volume for my kid’s iPad?

I had the same issue with my nephew, and I dived into Apple documentation and settings, but found nothing relevant.

So as a developer, I made an app to solve exactly this problem, and my brother told me it has been so useful with his kid ! Actually I got a lot of downloads so I guess a lot of parents need this.

There is a feature called guided access, which locks you in an app, and you can choose to stop the volume buttons from working. If you go to Settings and search “Guided Access”, and tap on “Accessibility Shortcut”. Choose a passcode. Then open the app your son is on, triple click the home button and tap on “Guided Access”. Tap on options, and turn off “Volume buttons”. Tap on start and the volume is locked until you triple click the home button to unlock the iPad and allow other apps to be used, and to unlock the volume.
