AirPods 2nd Gen won’t play any sound, but are connected to my iPhone 15 Pro

My iPhone 15 Pro got updated to iOS 17.4.1 (up to date) and now my AirPods (2nd gen) won’t play any sound.

My AirPods can connect to my phone and I can both see and hear that they are connected, but I can’t hear any sound through them from any platform. I use Spotify for music.

I tried connecting them to my MacBook Pro and that worked, I can hear sound through my AirPods.

I have tried resetting and forgetting the device on my iPhone, but they still won’t play any sound through the AirPods.

I can see my AirPods as an option when I press the airplay symbol, but from there I cannot choose them as output of sound.

Help me, Please!
