Podcast app closing down

My Apple Podcast app closes almost immediately after I open it on my iphone. This started after my phone downloaded the update.

Podcast app repeating a few seconds after interruption Since the latest update this issue has started. If I listen to a podcast and it gets interrupted by an advert in another app, when it restarts (on muting the ad) it skips back a few seconds, so I hear the same thing again. It didn’t do this when I got the phone, it’s only since it last updated. How do I get it back to how it was before?

Apple Podcast app not working after updating to iOS 18 Since updating to iOS 18 over a month ago I haven’t been able to play any podcasts using the Apple Podcast app. The app opens but if I try to load or play a podcast I just get a spinning circle. I’ve restarted my phone several times but no change. I’m reluctant to delete my podcast app and reinstall because I don’t want to lose my history and people on Reddit say they’ve tried that with no success in resolving the issue. Hi!

First, try closing the app (Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support) and reopening it again.

If that doesn't work, try turning your iPhone off and then on again.

To turn it off:

Simultaneously press and hold the side button and either volume button until the sliders appear, then drag the Power Off slider.

If Podcasts is still quitting unexpectedly, try deleting the app (Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support) and reinstalling it.
