iMovie 11 not accurately duplicating project

Two issues: I am duplicating a 20 minute long video project. I choose duplicate under the File menu. It copies the project except for the ending of the video, in which it does not provide an accurate title sequence. (It does not accurately create a true copy.) Then I want to export it to share it, I choose Export Movie under "Share" and choose the highest resolution of 1080. I wait an hour and a half for it to create the movie file, and find that the quality of the photographs (the video contains only high resolution photographs) are pretty bad, with noise and just plain bad, low resolution looking images. (In the actual iMovie software the photos were beautiful.) What is the best way to export or create the actual video/movie to share/view to preserve the high quality?

The other option is to Export using "Quicktime". I did not do anything with the "Consolidation Media" option and am now trying the "Finalize Project" under the File menu to see if the resolution is better. "Duplication" did not affect the resolution, despite the error in duplicating the actual project accurately. Thank you.
