Computer lagging when iMac Pro plugged into external monitor

Hello! My computer lags like crazy when my 2017 iMac Pro is plugged into my external monitor. Works fine when it's not connected to another display. I'm using a magic mouse and magic trackpad (separately, I have whichever one is not use turned off), and a cable connected external keyboard.

The issue persists regardless of mouse I'm using - lags with Bluetooth, usb/2.4, and wired.

Specs:

2017 iMac Pro:

OS: Sonoma 14.4

Processor: 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W

Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB

Memory: 64 GB 2666 MHz DDR4

Asus PA248 monitor, connected via DisplayPort USB-C

Screenshot of Activity monitor attached, as well as display settings. I've scoured the site and can't seem to pinpoint a solution. I've updated the OS, reset the NVRAM and SMC, and even cleaned out the air intakes. Any help appreciated!
