Apple support won't accept my IMEI instead of my serial number for Apple support

Hello! I'm trying to restore my phone, so I don't have access to my serial number, but I do have the IMEI. I checked whether or not it would be possible to avail support using this instead, and it said yes; so I inputted my IMEI in place of the serial number, and all it says is "Please enter a valid serial number." I don't know where else to input the number for support. Thank you in advance!

Hello b0110, If you are the original owner and have access to another IOS device you might be able to find your iPhone serial number by going into the Apple Support App > and Under Support Tools > Look for Check Coverage > Under My Devices > Click on your iPhone and it will show your iPhone Serial Number and Model name.
