I have 12 pro max. After upgrading to 17.4.1 the upper part of photo on normal photo mode is blurred. If u focus on that part then it becomes clear. It’s partially behaving as portrait mode. Rest modes are working fine.

  1. Software Glitch: Sometimes, software updates can introduce bugs or glitches that affect device functionality. This could be the case with the camera not working properly. In such situations, Apple typically releases subsequent updates to address these issues.
  2. Hardware Issue: The detection of non-genuine parts could indicate a hardware problem, such as a malfunctioning camera module or a faulty connection. Even if you haven't had your device repaired, there could still be underlying hardware issues that need to be addressed.
  3. Compatibility Issue: It's possible that certain components or parts of your device are not fully compatible with the iOS updates you've installed, leading to compatibility issues and malfunctioning.

Given the severity of the issues you're experiencing, I would recommend taking the following steps to try and resolve them:

  1. Restart your iPhone: Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve software-related issues. Try restarting your iPhone and see if that resolves the camera problem.
  2. Reset Settings: You can try resetting your iPhone's settings to their default values. This won't erase your data, but it will reset all settings to their original state, which could help resolve any configuration-related issues.
  3. Restore iPhone: If the above steps don't work, you may need to perform a full restore of your iPhone using iTunes or Finder on a computer. Make sure to back up your data before doing this, as it will erase all data on your device.
  4. Contact Apple Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, I would recommend contacting Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the problem and provide you with the appropriate solution, whether it's a software fix or a hardware repair.
