iPhone 15 CarPlay working now?

Following up on previous posts about this: I was about to order the iPhone 15 Pro when I read all the posts about it not working with Apple Car Play.

I won't buy this phone unless it does so I contacted Apple who say the issue is now fixed. They say 'this has been resolved and there are no more present reports or issues' and that 'it was resolved in iOS 17.3'.

They recommend this adaptor for those of us with a USB A connecter in the car (I drive a Honda 2018 CRV, but I assume this would work in other makes too).

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. CarPlay issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the CarPlay.

Troubleshooting Your Honda Apple CarPlay® Connection

Restart your iPhone and your car. Redo your CarPlay setup by navigating to Settings > General > CarPlay. Tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. If using a wired connection, try using a different USB cable and a different USB port.
