Mac / Safari audio always out of sync playing youtube

I have a brand new MacBook Pro M2. I have multiple browsers that I use, but prefer to use Safari as default. However, Safari (v16.6) continually has lag/sync issues with audio when playing YouTube. This does not occur on any other browser. I have cleared caches/history and it works for a while, but then starts to lag again.

Why is Safari so poor playing YouTube videos, but other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome do not have this issue? I would think that Apple would have a solution and develop a better browser. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem, or do I just have to "continually" clear history/cache when playing YouTube on Safari?
