Stolen device protection shows an hour security delay even at my home/work.

Hi,

I have been facing an issue with stolen device protection feature shows me the security delay, an hour wait for settings like reset my face id/account, set up alternate face id features while I am at a familiar location. I.e. my home/office.

Since the iOS 17.3 update, I have set the stolen device protection on and even after a months time my iphone keeps showing an hour delay at my home. It's so frustrating.

I read that iphone learns the most familiar locations over a period of time to understand what are my most frequent locations, yet it keeps showing me an hour delay at home.

P.S.: I am not using any VPN.

Any leads in resolving this issue would be helpful. Thank you!

Regards,

KK

Same issue. I have it set to “Away from familiar locations,” and yet, it keeps locking me out for an hour while I’m sitting at home. Very frustrating and going to turn it off if not resolved soon.

The 1 hour delay is just so frustrating. Like if i miss 10 mins of the notification when the delay is over, I literally need to start the delay all over again and again and again. Why was this feature even created? What if i need to change something in an unfamiliar place immediately? Can this feature be deleted? (Yes i know about the switch in Settings to turn it off, but the 1 hr delay…)
