Persistent Screen Recording Permissions Prompt on Mac Mini with Sonoma 14.4

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a recurring issue with my Mac Mini running Sonoma 14.4, where I'm constantly prompted to grant screen recording permissions to applications, even though I've already approved them. Every time I use an app that requires screen recording, it asks for permission again, despite the settings showing that permissions are correctly granted.

Here's what I've tried so far without success:

  • Checking for and installing all third party software updates
  • Reviewing and toggling permissions in the Privacy & Security settings
  • Resetting Screen Recording permissions using tccutil reset ScreenCapture in Terminal

I haven't yet reinstalled macOS, as I'm hoping to avoid this step if possible. I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has faced this issue and found a solution or if there are any other troubleshooting steps I can try before considering more drastic measures like an OS reinstallation.

Any insights, advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

This is happening persistently for me too, in Discord and Zoom but especially in Cleanshot, where the dialog to approve cancels the screenshot altogether. Reinstall didn't work for me. Hope they fix this bug! <3
