Excessive Lag using Vision Pro in Mac Virtual Display mode on Intel Mac Mini

I can connect AVP with my Intel-based 2018 Mac Mini but the lag experienced renders mode unusable. I was standing in front of Mac Mini so I don’t think it’s an RF power issue. The only spec I’ve seen wrt Intel-based Macs is 3k vs 4K video resolution. visionOS 1.0.2

Anyone else try this with an Intel-based Mac? What is your experience?

thanks

The lag on the Intel MacBook is pretty distracting, the mouse is the worst part.

I didn't measure it, but while probably sub-second it's very noticeable. I don't think there's anything wrong per se except that the system isn't up to the task of capturing the screen and streaming it as a movie to the AVP.

The M1 on the other hand does very well.
