Iphone 15 stops recording video and there's plenty of available storage

What hesitance is the author expressing? I've been experiencing this exact issue for 6 weeks now on my iPhone 15 Pro and it's been restarted, reset to factory settings, multiple times, back for a repair to Apple and every variation thereof of troubleshooting steps, and still the problem occurs. I have real time footage of the issue occuring. Perhaps the author like me is just a little tired of being given ineffectual "restart" advice and want someone to admit to the issue's existence and moreover do something about it, rather than make shirty remarks about the user's capability.

I am recoding EVERY DAY using ONLY iPhones. I had the same problem and here's how I solved it: I removed the case and I positioned the phone just like you see in the pictures. Basically, leave the buttons and the antenna band (I guess that's what it is) uncovered, untouched. Since I did this, the iPhones are not stopping recording anymore and I do record sometimes 80 minutes uninterrupted. I hope this helps!

Hi Jennaphu - i have the iPhone 15 pro and i am having the same issue. My iphone also randomly zooms out on it's own. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to why either of these issues are happening.

I am using my iphone to record my children's youth basketball games and a good chunk of many of their games have gone unrecorded because of this. Needless to say, there's no way to get those memories back.

I first contacted Apple on January 16. I've had several back and forths and even sent them a few videos that have zoomed out or stopped recording. They have yet to find a solution but are still researching.

If you haven't already done so I would suggest opening a case with Apple Tech Support.

I have the same problem and it is pretty infuriating. Very mad at Apple over this. When will they recognize this problem??? This phone has been out for 6 months already and they still won’t recognize it.

Me too! As a content creator, I’ve experienced this countless times, to the point where it’s disgustingly normal, especially with a new iPhone that’s supposed to be an upgraded version. I’m very frustrated that I’ve encountered many instances during my travels where I’m trying to capture candid moments, but the video recording stops after just a few seconds. I’ve missed a lot of beautiful moments that I should have captured because of this! Apple should fix this ASAP!

Iphone 15 Pro Max stops recording in the middle of recording videos and there's plenty of available storage.

my phone is unable to do any kind of video. After about a minute of recording, it automatically goes into a slow motion capture every time. No fix available. Other functions on the phone work.
