iOS 17.3 Timer stuck in notch

iPhone 15, iOS 17.3: I set a timer, and I can’t stop it once it started ringing.

There is still that timer symbol in the notch, but it only takes me back to the timer app - where I can start a new timer…

I can’t get rid of the symbol in the notch.

There must be still a programming glitch that hasn’t been fixed, as I notice complaints about this already in earlier posts..
