Running 2019 iMac 5K Retina with 3GHz Processor on One Card

I intended to purchase from Crucial a kit of 2 x 16GB DDR SODIMM cards for my iMac. I received today a single 32GB DDR4 SODIMM card. Looks like I was the DIM one! I have 4 slots but only two occupied, each with a 4GB card. In the event of Crucial not being prepared to exchange the 32GB card for the 32GB kit, will my Mac operate with only the single 32GB card inserted please?
