Yahoo Mail app links don’t open new window/tab in Safari

I’m having an annoying issue with my yahoo mail app. I would get a link in an email from my mortgage for example. When I click on it to log in, it generates the site within the Mail app so when the mtg co sends a code to my email to authenticate me, I can’t access the code because I’m in the email app. I would have to push the back button to return and then lose the website. It’s frustrating. How do I get my iPhone to open a new window or tab outside of the mail app like in Safari or Google chrome instead? Thanks!

Hi - I have the same problem and have been unable to find a simple Settings change to fix the issue.

However, if you press and hold the link instead of clicking on it you get the option to either ‘Open Link’ or ‘Copy Link’.

if you select ‘Open link’ it will open the link in your default browser outside of the Yahoo app, allowing you to toggle between your mail and the web page in Safari as you used to.

Obviously if you choose ‘copy link’ it you can then open any browser of choice and paste the link into the address bar.

It’s clunky but works!
