Hotmail stopped working on my Ventura's Mail

Hotmail stopped working on my Ventura's Mail, it keeps asking for the password for the account, but doesn't accept it. It works fine on my iPhone's Mail and Outlook app. The password is correct. IMap's settings also seem correct. Is there a fix?

hotmail keeps asking for password, hotmail is asking for password and I have don't the following after the latest update changed password a few times verified on iPhone shut iPhone down a few times toggled of hotmail account via mail and put back on after 1 minute tried to add a new account alas, I have run out of ideas please help I can access hotmail on my iMac ok so the password is correct

I think I would try removing the account from the mail app, and then re-add it back to the app.
