Thanks . I now notice I’m not the only one - there are multiple posts here about it but no thread because everyone worded the question differently . I don’t want to factory reset if it’s an update glitch . Can’t really be a setting issue if many are having same issue . Thanks

I've been using an English (UK) voice for years and have never had it revert. I don't think it's a problem with iPadOS.

Thanks . All the comments here have to do with Irish voice . I used it for two years. No problem until the update.

But the point is that none of us are seeing the voice change without our input. I would bet that if you contact Apple, they're going to give you the exact troubleshooting information MrHoffman already gave you. You can save yourself the time calling and get started on them.

Thanks for getting back to me about this.

I’m glad that we were at least able to determine that the Australian etc are not an issue for you.

I would next, go to the Apple support page, (or app) select iPhone, then selecting Siri in the drop down list and letting them know about the problem and hopefully they’ll have a solution.

If Apple Support do provide a working solution, maybe you could post it back here for anyone else who may have the same issues without a solution.

I was using a British Siri. After the last update, it continued to revert to American every day, sometimes multiple times a day. Especially maddening to a Canadian who used the Canadian Siri until they discontinued it because reasons? After reading about other people having the issue, I chose an Irish voice and haven't had the problem since. It's clearly an issue with the software trying to download a voice that is already there, but why it would only affect a small portion of phones is beyond me. Did you get a resolution? What are the model numbers of your devices? Are you also trying to use an accent that doesn't align with your physical location? Have you also used a VPN on your phone recently?
