iPhone 13 pro camera not saving photos

My iPhone 13 pro's camera app will randomly stop saving photos as I take them. The camera activates fine and the camera app 'snap' animation goes off when taking photo, but the photos are not saved into my library. This is frustrating as I think I have certain photos, only to learn later they did not save. I have plenty of storage space available on the phone so this isn't an issue. Restarting the phone will fix the issue, but it will reoccur within a few days time. This has been happening (along with several other issues) since iOS 17. Any ideas?
