iPhone does not save my-number

When I put my correct number into 'Settings/Phone/My number', the save button does not work.

Currently there is a nonsense number in it that the phone was able to save, but my real number does not work. I stored the number with +31 ... as country extension. But also 0... does not work. Is that field not supposed to have a phone number? If not, what kind of number should it I put there? Social security number probably not?

To seamlessly activate your mobile number on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Eject the SIM card from its slot.
  2. Power off your device and wait for a few moments.
  3. Restart your device to ensure a fresh start.
  4. Carefully re-insert the SIM card into the designated slot.
  5. Power on your device and allow it a moment to recognize the SIM card.
  6. Your mobile number will be automatically configured, ensuring uninterrupted communication services.

By undertaking these simple steps, you can ensure a smooth and efficient reconnection of your mobile number to your device.

Same exact problem as sarahhhj. I have restarted multiple times, reset network settings, put in and took out old physical Sim, I cannot save the 'my number' and I can't add it to 'sign in & security' under apple ID in settings because I can't receive the verification text. The phone can make and receive phone calls and call display comes up with the correct contact. Public mobile says the transferr is fine from their side.
