iPod 4th Generation flashing the Apple screen

I have an iPod fourth generation that is flashing the apple screen, turning white then shutting off and keeps repeating this problem over and over. I have tried many different things like trying to restore it and using a program called iMyFone that is supposed to help it get out of recovery mode and that flashing screen. But when I start the process, it keeps on flashing then it turns white and then it turns off canceling the restoring process. I took it to a place that can try to fix it but they did nothing to help it. All I want is the photos from the iPod because they have memories to it and I would do anything to see them again. Is there another way I could obtain the photos from the iPod without turning it on because I don’t think it is possible. Like, can we go inside the phone and take something out that stores the photos from the phone then transfer them to another ipod?  I’m running out of ideas here and i just really want the photos as I’ve been going crazy trying to get them. The iPod was working a few months back so I’m not sure why it is doing all this all of a sudden. I’m getting desperate. Please if you have any tips answer this.

I would let your iPod's battery die. Depending on your battery health this could take a couple days. Once dead I would connect to a windows computer with the latest possible version of iTunes. It is much easier to dig into on-device files on windows. Hopefully dying and reconnecting to iTunes after will kick your device out of its boot loop or at least give you some time to get the photos off.

Other possibility is replacing the battery. This could accomplish the same task.

whenever i do that i see the update option but i cannot click it, i do not want any data lost because I just want the pictures. I appreciate this.

Do you mean that you cannot click it or that you don't want to click it (because you're afraid of losing your pictures)?

If you mean that you don't want to click it, then since you cannot get into the iPod anyway, you might as well click it. If you do actually mean that you cannot click it, then what is the reason?
