Files app not working properly

Hello everyone,



I keep experiencing the same problems over and over with the “Files” app and the iCloud files on it.


  1. After every update the “recent” tab in Files becomes reset. Files that were on top are no longer there. I have to find them in the folders. Afterwards they’re added to “recent” again. This resets after every update and it’s very annoying. I work with monthly projects and I need the recent files to stay where they are.
  2. After the 17.2.1 update: files aren’t added to “Recent” at all. When I use the Files app the viewed files are added, but disappear immediately when closing and re-opening the app again.


Does anyone know why this keeps happening? When it comes to the OS I feel the quality keeps getting worse. A few weeks ago I would disable my alarm clock, but lockscreen would still indicate that alarm was turned on.
