Microsoft Word text and footnotes not visible in Web-layout, Outline, and Draft view after updating to Sonoma 14.2.1

When I am using the Web-layout, Outline, or Draft view in Microsoft Word

and I select to view the footnotes, both the text and the footnotes disappear, and the whole page becomes blank.

This has happened after updating to Sonoma 14.2.1

(both the Office and Sonoma are up to date)

Any ideas on how to fix this?
