I’ve done nothing to my ipad, i take care of it so well but today i tried to open my ipad with touch ID & it didn’t even respond, almost like my finger isn’t on it though i’m very sure it is. i cleaned it throughly restarted my device twice, updated it to the latest update, reset my network setting & deleted my finger print trying to do it over. nothing has worked & my touch id still will not pick up my finger. please help

I was going to make an appointment/trip to Apple Store, you saved me the time and effort.
Try unplugging the power cable. Mine only works when it is not plugged in.
If you already tried (to no avail) ALL the steps provided in this support article:--> If Touch ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad , I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
