Why is Air Play so unstable? Air Play is very unreliable. It works great some of the time, but it often freezes and drops in and out. It says it’s playing while it’s not. When I have people over and try to play music, I spend half the time trying to get the airplay to work correctly. It’s supposed to be simple— instead it’s stressful. I have all Apple devices … I stream from my iPhone mostly, but I also use my iPads and my Mac desktop. I stream directly to HomePods or Apple TV. I have one gig of Wi-Fi on a mesh network. This should work. It doesn’t… At least not consistently. Why?
