There is no X when trying to delete apps from my kids Apple Watch. I can not delete any of the apps. I follow the instructions and the apps start to „wiggle“ but I can’t delete any!
could it have anything to do with parental controls?

I had the same issue but solved it.
During installation of the kid’s watch I chose the option to deny deletion of apps from the watch.
That option was later hidden under settings for the kid’s Appleid.
Translated from swedish so might differ slightly:
Go to “screen time” / “limit content/integrity” / “purchases in iTunes and Appstore” / “Delete apps” -> Allow.
After that the icons on the apple watch will wiggle with the “x” visible.
