How do you restore Arabic/Hebrew Keyboard RTL direction?

Recently, Arabic/Hebrew keyboard in iOS (iPhone) started pushing text from left to right instead of usual right to left direction. When I am in a text/edit field and select an RTL language, the cursor jumps to the right end as expected. But when I start entering text, it jumps back to the left end and starts pushing the entered text to the right while remaining stationary in its position, instead of jumping to the right end and moving towards the left as text is entered.

It happens in Safari too. It only behaves correctly in X (twitter)

In Safari, it is even worse. The cursor jumps to the beginning of Arabic text when you are not typing (right end of the text). Then when you type new text, it jumps back to the end of Arabic text (left end) to insert the new letters and push the entire Arabic text towards the right, then finally it jumps back to the right end of the text (start of Arabic text) when typing stops.
