Use two Studio Displays for stereo output?

I have a Mac studio with two studio displays. I'm hoping to be able to set up the speakers on both studio displays to all play at the same time. I would like to use all speakers in my left monitor for the left channel and right for the right. I saw a post that is about a year old where people were asking the same. I'm hoping that in the last year there may have been an update to the OS that might enable this? Someone posted that they could set it up in Audio Midi Setup, but there was no control over the volume. I don't think we should have to buy Loopback from a third party for $99 to make this work. I can't believe that we have to pay so much for these displays, paying extra because they include speakers, microphones and cameras and then have the extra ones unusable. If this is the case, a stripped studio display should be sold without these extra features.

Mac Studio, macOS 14.0
