Apple Watch Ultra outdated?

I just bought my ultra a few short months ago and I feel like I made a mistake. It cost way more than I have ever spent on a watch(by far) and the ultra 2 has way more features. Why isn’t Apple adding any of these features to the 1st gen ultra? The hardware is there to support it. I’m feeling a little buyers remorse right now. Some clarity on why, after 5 months of ownership, my watch feels like it’s NOT outdated would be great. Why can’t Apple provide feature updates to keep us 1st gen Ultra owners feeling like we made a good purchase. 🤔😥
