Locate photo used in iOS 16 photo shuffle wallpaper lock screen

There should be an easy access button to Locate a photo used in iOS 16 photo shuffle wallpaper lock screen.

After hunting all around to find where a shot is taken it looks like it is buried under layers!

  1. When the Lock Screen pick comes up , press and hold screen.
  2. Select “customize” then select the “Lock Screen”
  3. At the bottom right you should see three dots.
  4. Click on the three dots and you will see the option to “show photo in library”

This is rediculously cumbersome! Is there a widget or is this just an oversight?

So, if i want to find a photo showing on lock screen I long press on it, use my passcode or face recognition to unlock, customise, choose Lock Screen, 3 little dots … , Show Photo in Library. Seems v slow and cumbersome but ok. I will always have to refer back to this to remember how to do it, as it isn’t intuitive.

Now how do I do the same for a photo on my Home Screen? If I choose Home Screen instead of Lock Screen when going through the process above I can’t see the option to Show Photo in Library - am I just missing it?

thanks!
