They moved the Control Center to the flat oval side button (see picture)
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
A quick press and release will display all the services that you used to get via a swipe up.
DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up the Emergency services display.

I have the apple 8 watch. i previously could scroll up and see such things as battery life, theater mode, silence, etc. but after last uodate i can no longer find these. please help.
