My iPhone 13 keeps switching from 5G to LTE for no reason. The only way to get 5G back on is to restart my phone or turn on and off airplane mode but it’s only a temporary solution; a few minutes at best. I have full 5G bars where I am but it just switches to LTE sometimes with less bars. I’ve only recently noticed this happening after I updated to iOS 17. Has anybody else had this issue or found a solution?

This is a months-old thread, so hopefully the OP has gotten a resolution.
As for your particular case, check for carrier updates, and then check with your carrier.
Cellular coverage can be intermittent, spotty, and with problems and dropouts, and with occasional tower outages, this whether connecting via 5G or 4G or otherwise. There can be other causes including bad hardware, but coverage issues are the most common.
