While playing movie subtitles coming in other language which I didn’t choose

Rented Oppenheimer movie however it’s showing with Hindi subtitles which I don’t want

I need to have English subs

Before renting or buying Apple should make the audio and subtitle options clear. It’s such a bad user experience of watching a movie with English audio and Hindi subtitles.

Depending on your own country or region (as set for your Apple ID account), the subtitle support may be geared towards the main common languages in your area. What is available for any given title, can vary by country, as determined by the supplying studio.


While playing: Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support


or set your defaults: Change the language for display, audio, and subtitles in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Before renting or buying Apple should make the audio and subtitle options clear.

For each buy or rent title, you can see what is included, in the Languages section of the movie Details page. It will list the audio languages and subtitle languages.


It’s such a bad user experience of watching a movie with English audio and Hindi subtitles.
