Screen protector

There are many conflicting opinions on the matter.
Personally, since the first iPhone I had (3g model), I have always preferred to spend $15-20 for a good quality screen protector, rather than risk ruining (even inadvertently) the screen of my devices.
But of course you are free to decide.

True. but does screen protector affect the quality of photos when the camera also was covered by glass. its seems to me it will be added another layer of glass on camera and its not lens. the quality of taking photo might be affected?
As for my experience is concerned, if you apply a good quality screen protector, the front camera is not affected.
Talking about rear camera, I have always used back covers that protect the rear camera well (with raised edges) when you place the phone on a table, but without rear camera "lens protectors".
When I talk about high quality screen protectors and/or covers, I have never skimped on spending a few extra dollars, and I have always had a great experience with Spigen (but there are dozens of other good products on the market).

Does Iphone 15 pro max necessary to have screen protector? I thought its screen already is scratch resistant
