Terminal.app truecolor support

As Macs become more locked down in enterprise environments it makes it difficult to install tools that have not been fully vetted by the security teams. A lot of developers use terminal based development tools such as vim/neovim and like to have a more aesthetically pleasing experience - instead of being locked into 256 colours. Currently we have to resort to installing Alacritty/iTerm/Kitty to get true colour support.

Of course we could all switch to VS Code or XCode - but there is a growing community of developers that don't want to be bound by these constraints.

Probably going to be more expedient to get a different emulator approved.

Maybe iTerm2, for instance. There are various choices.

Apple Terminal app has been ANSI color for a long time…

VTTest tool might be useful for verifying your available choices, too. Some of the emulator implementations have been or are atrocious.

But command-line app development has seemingly been niche for a while.
