MacBook screen goes black for 1-2 seconds while typing

I upgraded to Sonoma 14.1.1 last night and I've noticed that while typing, my screen suddenly blacks out completely, but only for a couple seconds. It then returns to the screen I am on. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it simply a weird combination of keystrokes?

What does it mean if both keyboard and external keyboard are unresponsive? At random points in time, both my external keyboard and macbook keyboard become unresponsive such that I cannot type any characters onto the screen. Sometimes I can hear sound feedback for each keyboard click, sometimes there is no sound feedback at all. Is there a hardware or software problem, do I need to send in my macbook for repair?

Touch Bar keeps going black My 13" 2017 MacBook Pro's Touch Bar keeps randomly going black after periods of sleep. Restarting the computer fixes the problem, but it seems to be occurring with increasing frequency. I can't tell if this is the result of a Software Update or not. I am currently running Ventura 13.5. A potentially related problem, although I'm not sure if it's connected: my regular keyboard has also been quite laggy lately. I went into Accessibility Options and turned on Slow Keys. Not really sure what this is supposed to do, but seems to help a bit. But it feels like a workaround for a symptom of a bigger problem.

I'm on ventura, and it only happens on my external monitor. I think as well that it has something to do with typing. Did the issue resolve itself or did you find a solution?
