How do I change the contacts section appearance on my iPhone?

Since upgrade the contacts section on iPhone has altered in appearance and I find the changes irritating, at best. Is there a way I can revert to the old format.?

Yes, I would like to have my contact's appearances as the old way. The response from SravanKra was extremely not helpful and rather condescending. Change for the sake of change in not useful. Because you can do something does not mean you should do something. The appearance is very annoying. I prefer the ancillary information to appear below the name of the contact, not all jumbled up above the name. This makes one have to search through the information to ensure one is using the correct contact, especially in the case of similar names of contacts. Apply, Please return to the original layout. This is not an upgrade and Steve Jobs would have been, "is this all we have to offer?"

Hi,

I tried but found no way to change the appearance.  I want to let you know that you aren’t alone and I also don’t think the new Contacts design looks right or good.

I’ve been trying to put my finger on why it bothers me and I think it’s because at the top the text is white on a dark background and the below it’s black on a white background.  I think it’s staining my eyes going between the two and my brain doesn’t like it.

I would also like to add that the huge contact photo takes up way too much screen space and is not optimal or attractive on these relatively small hand-held devices and means we have to scroll more to get to the important info we seek.  Honestly, the first time I opened up a contact after the update, it startled the heck out of me because the photo was so big and “in my face.”  It’s my opinion that the large photo is not at all helpful and it would be nice if Apple would give us the option to adjust it’s size.

Change is not always for the best, but thankfully we humans are really good at adapting. Good luck and godspeed your adaptation process. 😁

Have a nice day!

After creating a new contact I too was only offered a full screen image. I prefer the old small circular image at the top of the contact card. Anyway I found that if you start with an image in your photo library and hit the share icon you can add it to a contact in the small circle format instead of the large full screen format. Hopefully this helps.

There is no rolling back of an iOS or the features that come with it..

Change is difficult to adapt to because it disrupts our comfort zones, introduces uncertainty and fear of the unknown, challenges our sense of identity, and involves letting go of the familiar. However, it's important to recognize that change is an inevitable part of life, and learning to adapt and embrace it is crucial for personal growth and development. With time, patience, and a willingness to explore new possibilities, we can navigate the difficulties of change and find ways to thrive in new circumstances.
