I’ve been through this quite a bit with apple support with no solution.
Group mms is not working in my iPhone. Any group messaging with a text message involved (not imessage) both sends, and is received, on my
phone as a text to/from an individual, not a group.
the really weird thing is, it is displayed properly on my ipad ( which gets the texts forward from my phone ).
This is new since ios 17
Any help/ insight would be appreciated.
Just to update, mms is not working at all even though it is clearly toggled on in settings. Att says everything is fine on their end.
If I try to send an mms, I get the error message that mms messaging needs to be enabled even though it already is.
If you send a group message to people who are on Android, then the message is sent as an MMS or SMS message. Check if you have an SMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS services. You need to contact your Carrier to enable SMS and/or MMS.
Ummm. Yes. I have mms and sms. You clearly did not consider the details of what I wrote.
