Using curved line in Apple Pages

I can’t position this object. Whenever I try to, I can’t change the end points of the line without it springing all over the page sometimes behind another object so it can’t be found. The help feature simply says I can drag those points. What am I doing wrong? I always end up having to use a straight line.

But now if I draw a shape, like a line shape -- for example, let's say I create a callout line for an image -- and then I try to adjust the angle of the line or the length, and move the line around on the document, that line completely disappears. This is a new bug that's started in the past month or so. It's not limited to long documents. It's ANY document. This is so frustrating. I'm using Pages 12.1.

Line break (shift + enter) doesn't work anymore (version 13.2?), all is hard return Hello Apple community, Since 13.2 I've noticed that a normal line break doesn't work anymore. Pages always behaves as if I do a hard return. This is a problem when I'm changing the length of headlines or lines. Has anyone experienced this and/or a solution? Cheers, Heiko

Text box moving with page but covers footer, and not header. I have a text box near the bottom of my page that is set to "move with page", when I put content about the text box it moves down, content that isn't in the text box jumps to the next page, but the text box continues down and covered the footer until it hits the margin and then jumps to the next page. When it does this, it doesn't cover the header. Is this a bug or is there a setting I can change to stop this happening?

The documentation, patience, and learning curve to insert custom curved lines in Pages can be daunting with no prior graphic design experience. There may be some inherited learning from how Adobe Illustrator allows one to manipulate bezier curves.
