iPhone Alarm not making any sound

I put on some alarms today and I didn’t wake up. I thought I slept through them as that’s what usually happens but I didn’t hear them go off at all which I found very odd. Normally, I hear them and turn it off but today I didn’t hear anything. My iPhone alarms aren’t making any sound. The little notification banner pops up at the top of the screen but no sound. I checked settings to see if my ringer and alert volume is high and it was. So, I don’t understand what’s happening. I need my alarms to wake me up. This is so frustrating. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello,

Do this:

Go to: Settings > Sounds & Haptics > RINGTONE AND ALERTS and move the slider to the right. This is the only way to control the alarm volume.

Also try:

Set a test alarm a few minutes in the future. Then, when it goes off, use the side volume buttons to adjust the sound volume while it's actually ringing.

Good luck.

I figured it out!!! my alarm has been perfect all of a sudden after one of the recent multiple, thousand, million updates...😒 my alarm would sound off like normal for a second or two, and then go very quiet, or not at all. go to settings look for Face ID and attention. Turn off the attention, awareness feature! This fixed mine instantly.

I'm having this issue as well. I have two alarms set, one is my alarm and one is a failsafe/backup. Both went off but didn't make any sound. This has happened multiple times to me but it's not constant. The bug comes and goes at will. I read somewhere that you need to reset all settings. That's my next stop. It stinks b/c I will have to set up my apple wallet, passes, etc but if it keeps me from being late to work...I'll do that I have to do .

So, maybe try that. Reset all settings. That's what I'm doing.

I have a 12 mini. I do not have home internet so I haven’t updated software in a loooong time, and I’ve always had my phone on silent with no problem hearing alarms. But I first had this issue yesterday. I’m VERY sleep deprived so I take a power nap on pretty much every break at work. Yesterday lunch, alarm went off fine. Second break - I thought I slept through the sound. Oops. Same for my first alarm this morning. LUCKILY my morning backup is an actual radio, so that woke me for work, and I watched the second alarm’s banner come up with no sound. Kind of a weird thing to plan into obsolescence that could’ve easily ruined my life, but you do you apple
