FIND MY is using wrong phone for location

I am using an iPhone 11. My old iPhone. Is an 8. I still use it for games etc.

I was messing around on my iPhone 11 and somehow changed the FIND MY “use this iPhone as my location” to the iPhone 8. It won’t let me change it back to ether iPhone 11. The “use this iPhone as my location” is highlighted, but nothing happens when I select it. I I don’t want to wipe out the iPhone 8 just for this. Is there any other way to change it? I’ve reset the network I’m on the 8. I have restarted both phones. The iOS on the 11 is the last update before the iOS 17. Any help would be appreciated Thank you!

I don’t want it in the device it’s on. I can’t get it back on the iPhone11. It was originally on the iPhone 11. I accidentally hit something that changed it to the iPhone 8. I changed it once, I figured I should be able to change it back.

You can only choose “use this as my location” when using Find My on the device that you want to assign your location to. You cannot assign your location to a different device other than the current one.

On the iPhone 11 open Find My.
Tap on Me.
Tap Use This Phone as My Location.

Where on the phone were you messing with things when this changed? Is this in the Find My app?
