Regular £9.49 Apple.com/bill

Apple.com/bills has been taking £9.49 regularly every week via my son's mobile number through EE. I have been to EE to ask them what this charge is about and they say they have no idea. Ihave been into my son's Apple ID and he has no subscriptions. The help pages on Apple simply point to this and there seems to be no way of cancelling this charge without deleting th emobile phone contract which will incur a cancellation fee.

There have been similar posts to this in the past but i can't get to the resolution. Can anyone help?

We are not Apple so cannot look up Apple's sales transactions. Start here:

If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support

The  most important part is "View Your Purchase History." Do that.

If you history does NOT show the charge, then is is possible someone has access to your card/account number and is pretending to be Apple. It happened to us. Our card issuer AMEX confirmed it was a fraudulent charge NOT made by the company shown in the statement. Other companies have been similarly targeted.

Please see steps for helping you identify such charges in this thread thread:

Limnos: Online Fraud in the name of Apple.com - Apple Community

If that is the case, Apple cannot fix this. Only your bank or card issuer can address fraudulent use.

If your history shows the charge, continue with instructions in that article.

NOTE: As you apparently use Apple's Family Sharing, you must modify one of the view option when looking at your purchase history to see the full picture. See:

Hi

Yes i think so! I have yet to check my December bill so i can't say for sure, but what i did was to (a) change the mobile number that the charge was being made to (my son's so not too much of a biggy); and (b) i went to an Apple store to get them to look at it because the bills on my mobile contract stated that it was a charge being made via apple.com/bill and no sign of it on my subscriptions on Apple ID (family sharing as well).

The store assistants were not able to help but put me in touch with the Apple support team who could trace the originator of the charges. They said they would stop these charges and refund the last 2 months payments made to my mobile's account. It took a long time on the phone, but it seems as though it will be worth it. i think the number is available on their help pages or you can go to a store and arrange a call back to your mobile.

In my case, it turned out that my son (he's 12) had accidentally signed up to a VPN provider and had tried to cancel but didn't/ couldn't (? not sure as he can't remember!). But the fact that hese providers can automatically harge £9.49 on a weekly basis via a mobile contract is not right and i think should not be allowed without at least some notification.

Anyway, i hope the above helps.
