My iPhone 14 pro max will not do a hard reset

When trying to do a hard reset

• volume down button
• volume up button
• holding side button for more than 30 seconds

it allows me to hit the down and up button but as soon as I hit the side button siri pops up which is making it so I cannot hard reset my phone. My phone also just wants to make emergency calls when I hold the bottoms down together.

If someone can please tell me how to make it so Siri is not woken up with pressing the side bottom that would be greatly appreciated.
