My intel iMac works OK with APC UPS, but my new Silicon M3 iMac does not see APC UPS in System Settings Energy Saver.
I have tried a variety of USB cables including USB-C to USB-B, and the supplied APC USB-A to USB-C with several (working) adapters. Anybody got it to work? Maybe a firmware problem, or Apple not supporting it?

Solved. It was an intermittent fault in the APC USB interface. Item has been replaced by supplier. The iMac M3 is now working as expected.

Please contact APC for support on their product. It is up to the developers of third party products for them to work with Apple devices, it is NOT Apple's responsibility to test and debug a third party product to ensure capability.
The APC works fine on the intel iMac, even with a standard USB-C USB-A printer cable. The APC sends a high/low voltage - All the work is done by System Settings. I suspect Apple may not have tried it yet, so I have left a support request with APC, hoping that they can fix something up with Apple…
