Cannot get phone call through my phonak hearing aids

Bluetooth is connected (paired), other sounds (notifications, videos, etc) come through the hearing aids. Hearing aids checked in Accessability. Downloaded Phonak app and paired the hearing aids. Read all the solutions on here, looked at YouTube videos, etc. I am at wits end.

Found this, fixed. Not sure why it didn’t come us as a solution when I was searching. Notice on calls I could select normal (hold up to), speaker, or my hearing aids so I search for a way to set hearing aids as default and found this:

Route and automatically answer calls on iPhone

You can automatically direct the audio of phone or FaceTime calls to the iPhone speaker, a Bluetooth® headset, or your hearing device. iPhone can also automatically answer calls after a length of time you set.

  1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing, then choose an audio destination.

Good info, but simlar to all the other videos I've watched, although the "screeshots" for iPhone screens did not match what I see on my 15. I have the app and everything is connected, as is my Bluethooth in Settings. The phone rings in my ears but when I answer I have to hold the phone up to my ear.

Disappointed because my Android (Samsung A51) was connected everytime I turned my hearing aids on.

Then let phonak support know how disappointed you are that their product won't connect/issues to an iphone.
