What is iOS account manager and why is it connected to my google accounts?

When I go to my Security settings in my google accounts, under my devices I keep seeing iOS Account Manager which has access to my account on my iPhone and I have no idea what it means. I used to see Safari under Browsers, Apps and Services, but now I'm seeing iOS Account Manager. Could someone please explain to me what it is?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16

iOS Account Manager is a Google app that coordinates the various Google features that you have installed on your phone so you don’t have to log into each separately, such as Google Search, gmail, Google Translate, Google One, Google Photos, Google Chrome, Youtube, etc.
