Skype Audio Sharing

Hello. I am an online teacher and I often share the screen for audio and other things. However I can’t seem to share the audio. I use Skype. It usually gives you an option to share audio once you select share the screen on the app … but it justo doesn't come up. It isn’t there. I already gave permission to Skype under settings to record …. It says it gives you audio too , but it doesn’t. I tried looking for an answer online but I couldn’t find anything helpful.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.6

The sentence "If you're using Windows, you will also have the option to share sound from your computer." in this article indicates that it simply is not currently implemented in the Mac version.

It is up to Microsoft to add this, but in the meantime you can use something like Blackhole to work around the problem. This allows you to route the system's audio output to both your speakers and a virtual input device for Skype to use so that your student can hear as well.

"Currently". People have been complaining since 2018 if not longer about this
