Update Apple ID Settings locks up my iMac

"Settings" displays the message "Update Apple ID Settinss". When I click the "Continue" button, the settings screen freezes, and I have to Force Quit the app.

I have tried all the suggested options so far. Signed in and out, Changed my password, disabled Keychain, deleted Keychain etc. and still nothing gets rid of it. When I click on Continue a window appears with a spinning circle, but then vanishes again and no progress beyond that. Any options that I might not have tried? Other than another fresh install? I'm logged in apparently fine on my iPad and Iphone Cheers

Update My Apple ID Settings endless loop. I had a notice from System Preferences to Update My Apple Settings and requires me to log into my Apple ID. When I enter the ID and password, it just says continue, when you hit continue, it just prompts to continue. It never goes away. I can't use my ID.

Try and restart your Mac, after that try and update the Apple ID settings again

I have rebooted several times with the same result each time.
