Battery charging 80% limit
So I turned on the 80% limit, but my IPhone 15 pro max charged to 84% anyway before I found out. Thoughts?

Yeah I suppose. I used to charge my 13 overnight or even long, and battery health declined to 88% at the end of its second year
88% at the end of two years is excellent and better than Apple projects.
Even if you leave the phone plugged in all night long, with out optimized battery charging enabled, it will stop charging when it reaches 100% and let the battery drain for a little while. I really don't see the point of the 80% myself other than perhaps to make people who want to micromanage their battery life happy.
I have optimized battery charging enabled and charge my phone every night, all night. My iPhone 11 Pro was almost 3 years old when I had the battery replaced.

It apparently happens. It won't hurt your phone.
Yeah I suppose. I used to charge my 13 overnight or even long, and battery health declined to 88% at the end of its second year - so I don’t know if the 80% limit is really worth of the efforts, lol
Thanks for sharing. I honestly needed some reason to turn off the 80% limit, lol, coz it didn’t seem to help much other than making me charge my new phone more frequently.
Glad it helped at least a little!
